Krog Street Tunnel & The Beltline

February 28, 2016 Atlanta, GA, USA

Today was filled with quite a few E's (eventful, exciting... exhausting!). My friends and I decided it would be quite the field trip to take a spin around the Krog Street Tunnel. This little tunnel connects two very different neighbourhoods- Inman Park and Cabbagetown (great name), but beyond that, it is filled with so much intricate artwork and graffiti. The tunnel is considered to be a cultural icon of Atlanta to many because of its uniqueness. There really isn't anything else like it in the city.

Overall I would say the visit was worth it because I've never seen anything like it, but it's not something to go out of your way to witness. Because it is just a small stretch of Krog Street, there's really no point in bending over backwards to check it out, but if you are in the area, then it could be worth taking a look at because it would be quite the detour.

After spending some time in the tunnel, we headed to the Atlanta Beltline. There were so many bodies hustling and bustling along the trail, most jogging with strollers or their canine friends (I've actually never seen so many dogs in my life. Within the span of 5 mins, we would easily see more than 10 different dogs panting on by).

I've never visited the Beltine before, so I was completely in the dark on what to expect, but with such lovely weather, it was hard to not enjoy our stroll down the trail and the bits of art we came across on the way.
