WOW! Soooo... I am BEYOND LATE with this post, but in my defense, I only accidentally stumbled across it after sifting through old blog posts. I had forgotten that I even meant to get this up MONTHS ago, but I guess better late than never! ( o.O )
I originally intended to keep this post short and sweet; and considering how much time has passed since I last tried food at Rise-N-Dine, I don't intend on deviating from my original plan, so let's just get straight to the point.
The food was delicious, portioning was quite generous in my opinion, and the staff was pleasant. We tried the eggs and bacon over a croissant, their pierogi bowl, as well as a side of fresh fruit. The cheddar-potato pierogis were scrumptious and nicely flavoured, although there were a few overcooked bits on the plate. The croissant and eggs were also quite enjoyable, especially since the croissant was perfectly toasted, so you have those nice flakey bits, as opposed to having a soggy bit of pastry sandwiching two greasy strips of bacon and eggs. As for the cup of fresh berries, there's not much left to say apart from the fact that they were sweet and tasted pretty fresh (or freshly bought), but I was content nonetheless.
Overall I found my dining experience to be rather pleasant; the food was delicious and our waitress was quite friendly. Would I have breakfast there again? Absolutely. Would I recommend it to others? Sure, unless you hate breakfast foods.
