Well, it's here- my 3rd and final Birchbox has arrived. And I think it's safe to say I am still not quite sold on the whole "monthly subscription service" when to comes to beauty-related products, but hey, it was fun while it lasted.
In this month's box, it seems as though I have been sent 3 makeup samples, 1 haircare product and 1 skincare related item. I have gone ahead and included the full description of each product, as described on Birchbox's site, as well their respective prices for the full-size version. So if you are interested in learning a bit more about these products and their cost, then just keep on scrolling! :)
Oribe Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse
Full Size: $39
This mousse claims to give fine strands a major dose of volume without any crunch, while providing heat protection and repairing strands so they feel stronger over time. The color-safe formula contains panthenol to plump up your hair shaft to add thickness, while a structure-forming starch polymer and styling polymer provide flexible hold and memory so your look lasts all day. With other conditioning ingredients like sunflower seed oil, glycerin, and vitamin E, it leaves hair feeling soft to the touch.
Vasanti® BrightenUp!® Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator
Full Size: $34
This powerful exfoliator contains papaya enzymes, which work to break down dead cells and even-out skin tone while dermatologist-approved microderm crystals fade fine lines and acne scars. Aloe vera, coconut, and vitamins B and E nourish freshly exfoliated skin to keep it free from redness or irritation.
Adesse New York Cupuaçu Butter Lip Balm™
Full Size: $24
This lip balm claims to marry intense hydration with a supersheer pink hue that enhances your pout. In the center, you'll find a nourishing core enriched with cupuaçu butter, derived from the rainforest, which heals and quenches as it protects lips from free radicals. This ingredient can attract 240% more water, leaving lips suppler and softer with every swipe.
Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow
Full Size: $29
The Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow claims to hydrate and calm skin with aloe and chamomile, even tone with self-adjusting pigments, control shine, protect from environmental stressors with powerful antioxidants, and add a subtle radiance. The hypoallergenic, gluten-free, perfume-free, and oil-free formula is suitable for sensitive skin types.
Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner
Full Size: $22
Eyeko's liquid eyeliner features a pen-style applicator that allows you to control the thickness of the line you create and vary the intensity of your look, while the fade-proof formula claims to hold up all day and night.
When I saw the Eyeko eyeliner included in April's box, I was super excited to try it out. I've recently been on the hunt for a good-quality liquid eyeliner (in pen form) because the one I was previously using had dried up, so this came at just the right time.
And I've got to admit, I have used the Eyeko liquid liner a few times now and I have been thoroughly enjoying it (I may just have to run out and purchase the full size version soon). But $22 can be a bit steep for something that tends to dry out faster than most other makeup products, so I will definitely also be searching for some comparable (and affordable) dupes for you guys. If that is something you're interested in, then be sure to Subscribe to my blog so you don't miss out on that post once it's up!
And of course, once I've tried everything in this month's Birchbox, I will go ahead and post my thoughts on each product from February's & March's boxes as well (everything will be all in 1 post). So be on the lookout for that as well! :)
