I think the title says it all. I told myself, Subculture would be a palette I would NOT spend my money on, but here we are...one sale later. Despite all the backlash and less than favourable reviews/first impressions, I still found a way to convince myself to purchase this palette because I couldn't stand the thought of missing out on "such a good deal" (can you tell that I have a problem?).
So alas, here we are. Of course I hope to be posting my thoughts on the quality of the shadows once I get to playing around with them, but until then, please enjoy these swatches! Photos of my swatches were taken using daylight bulbs against my medium, olive skin tone (I typically use natural daylight, but these photos were taken at night), and they have not been edited or retouched in any capacity! So if you are interested in taking a closer look at my swatches, then just keep on scrolling! :)

I also went ahead and included a few closeups of the shadows before and after being swatched (if it makes a difference to anyone); since the powderiness of the eyeshadows in the Subculture palette seemed to be a huge issue for many.
Personally, from just swatching the shadows, using very little pressure to pick up colour in the first place, there is definitely a lot more kick up in the pan compared to any other palette I own that has been previously swatched. But, nonetheless, the true test will be when those Sigma bristles hit that pan and sweep "Roxy" through my crease- will there be any shadow left in the pan for me to dip twice? Will it evaporate off of my lids as I blend? Stay tuned to find out...
